ProLogium and OCSiAl Partner to Strengthen European Supply Chains for High-Performance Batteries

  • The launch of OCSiAl’s facility in Serbia enhances the synergy between OCSiAl and ProLogium, significantly bolstering the European battery supply chain.
  • ProLogium’s innovative products, further enhanced by nanotubes from OCSiAl, empower advanced lithium ceramic batteries, meeting stringent safety and performance standards.
  • This step enhances Prologium’s and OCSiAl’s efforts towards a fully electric future, driving innovation and sustainability in the battery industry.

OCSiAl has launched a single wall carbon nanotube dispersion facility in Serbia. This move enhances ProLogium’s European supply chain and supports the mass adoption of electric vehicles via the production of one of the world’s most advanced lithium ceramic batteries in France. With an annual capacity of 3,000 MT of nanotube dispersion, OCSiAl’s facility will bolster ProLogium’s gigafactory project in Dunkirk, France, which is expected to be completed by late 2026 and commence mass production in early 2027.

As a leader in energy innovation, ProLogium specializes in the research, development, and manufacture of lithium ceramic batteries, providing cutting-edge solutions for both consumer and industrial electric vehicle markets. The incorporation of OCSiAl’s single wall carbon nanotubes—nature’s longest and most flexible material for conductivity and reinforcement of electrodes—into the electrode empowers ProLogium’s technology, delivering advanced batteries to meet stringent safety requirements, cost-benefit standards, and battery industry performance objectives for tomorrow’s electric vehicles. Unlike other carbon-based nanomaterials, single wall carbon nanotubes form robust, long-distance connections between electrode particles, significantly reducing electrode resistance and increasing cell energy density.

“ProLogium continues to make breakthroughs in next-generation battery technology. OCSiAl’s cost-effective high-purity single wall carbon nanotubes further enhance ProLogium’s lithium ceramic batteries, allowing them to achieve even greater energy density and rate capability. As the world’s first company to produce next-generation batteries at scale, we are at the forefront of the transition to net-zero and electrification, offering consumers a safe driving experience characterized by longer range and faster charging. We value suppliers with exceptional products who help us accelerate the development of next-generation battery technology,” said Vincent Yang, founder and chairman of ProLogium Technology.

The new state-of-the-art OCSiAl facility adheres to the highest product quality standards in the industry, accelerating ProLogium’s ambitions for excellence in product performance and sustainable development in Europe. “The collaboration between OCSiAl and ProLogium—two leaders in their fields—makes it possible to form a robust supply chain to reduce manufacturers’ carbon footprints and continue driving global innovation toward a fully electric and sustainable future. OCSiAl’s next facility will be launched in Luxembourg by 2027–2028, further bolstering ProLogium’s plans for its Dunkirk gigafactory and Paris-Saclay R&D center,” said Andrej Seniut, head of OCSiAl Energy.
