Royal Institution of Great Britain hosts a lecture on nanotechnology sponsored by OCSiAl

OCSiAl has sponsored the lecture by Dr. Mihail Roco entitled “Beyond Convergence Nano-Bio Info Cognitive Technologies”. It was organized by Nano Risk Assessment International Ltd. and Lockton Companies and took place on February 25th at the Royal Institution of Great Britain.

Dr. Mihail Roco is the founding chair of the U.S. National Science and Technology Council's subcommittee on Nanoscale Science, Engineering and Technology (NSET). He is also the Senior Advisor for Nanotechnology at the National Science Foundation. Dr. Roco is credited with thirteen inventions, contributed over two hundred articles and twenty books on multiphase systems, computer simulations, nanoparticles and nanosystems, trends in emerging technologies, and societal implications. Recent books include “Convergence of Knowledge, Technology and Society”, "Nanotechnology Research Directions for Societal Needs in 2020", and "Managing Nano-Bio-Info-Cognition Innovations".

The lecture attracted wide audience including academia members, innovative industrial companies, and investors. "It was important for OCSiAl to support this event as it raises public awareness on nanotechnology potential across different industrial sectors, discusses important issues and challenges related to commercialisation as well as existing real life applications," — says Ashot Ter-Avanessov, CEO of OCSiAl Europe.
