OCSiAl Supports NT16 and Showcases TUBALL™ to Leading Nanoscientists

The International Conference on the Science and Application of Nanotubes and Low-dimensional Materials (NT16) kicked off on August 8 in Vienna. Researchers and scholars in the materials and nanoscience fields from all over the world have gathered for the 17th time to exchange the latest achievements in nanotechnology. OCSiAl shares the Nanotube Conference idea of providing an informal setting to exchange the most current information in the rapidly evolving nanotube research field, and sponsors this conference along with Mitsubishi Corporation and FEI.

The current Nanotube Conference – NT16 – is being held at the historic main building of the University of Vienna on August 8–13, 2016. The NT16 agenda includes poster oral sessions and satellite symposia. Among the key speakers are such prominent contemporary academics in material science, nanoscience and nanotechnology as Christophe Bichara, Hisanori Shinohara, Tony Heinz, Andreas Hirsch, and Junichiro Kono.

This is the third time in a row that OCSiAl has participated in the Nanotube Conference series. The company is excited to showcase its TUBALL™ single wall carbon nanotubes and various TUBALL™-based products at the conference to so many of the most innovative scientists from around the world. At the Vienna conference, OCSiAl will provide attendees with more information on its most recent cutting-edge product – the nanotube-based concentrate TUBALL™ MATRIX, which is available in several matrices and which enables volume resistivity to be adjusted within the range of 10 8 –10 2 Ω·cm. Furthermore, as is traditional at such conferences, the company’s experts will be distributing samples of TUBALL™ to scholars for their further trials and research on the abilities of these nanotubes.

The Nanotube Conference series, since its inception in 1999, has aimed to disseminate the latest advances in both the science and the technology of carbon nanotubes and related materials such as graphene and other low-dimensional materials. The strong interest in these topics and the conference format have resulted in a steady increase in the number of participants from year to year. To reflect the international nature of this field of research, the annual conference takes place in a different country each year, while preserving its best features of quality, originality and informality.
