Equipment (Mechanical) Designer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in metal structures design, piping systems and welding technologies, ensuring compliance with European standards. This role involves working on industrial projects, developing technical solutions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibility (Tasks):

Technical Documentation & Standards:

  • Create and maintain 2D/3D designs using SolidWorks, Kompas 3D, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Develop technical documentation, including drawings, specifications and reports.
  • Read and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).

Welding & Assembly Standards:

  • Apply knowledge of welded joints, flange connections and pipe fitting techniques
  • Ensure quality control according to European welding standards.

Collaboration & Project Coordination:

  • Work closely with engineers from other disciplines (process, electrical and automation).
  • Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning phases.
  • Participate in technical reviews and design optimizations.

Required Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Heat & Gas Supply, Ventilation, or Chemical Engineering (Petroleum Industry).

Software Skills

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Kompas 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Ability to read and create P&ID diagrams.

Additional Requirements

  • Portfolio of completed projects demonstrating relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have)

  • Knowledge of pressure vessel design and stress analysis.
  • Familiarity with process engineering and fluid mechanics.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
  • Understanding of ASME, API and other international piping standards.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in metal structures and piping design.
  • Strong understanding of welded joint standards (EN, ISO).
  • Experience in industrial piping design, including threaded and welded fittings, flange connections, and related components.
