The NAUM Summit is one of the largest annual meetings in the materials industry. It is focused on developing a new generation of nanoaugmented materials and end-products, whose previously unobtainable properties have changed the performance of most known materials once and for all, driving a paradigm shift in diverse industries.
Hundreds of executives, researchers, analysts and journalists from all over the world will gather in Shanghai on October 31. This year is the first time that the event has been open to the public. During the industrial portion of the Summit, participants are also welcome to visit a specially constructed pavilion that will contain demonstrations of the real industrial manufacturing production chain for nanoaugmented products with graphene nanotubes.
Graphene nanotubes – the specific form of graphene possessing a number of exciting properties and advanced characteristics – leave most other nanomaterials far behind. More than 30 distinguished speakers will discuss the potential of graphene nanotubes for a variety of industries.
This Autumn, Japanese DAIKIN Industries , the Australian University of Newcastle , and Chinese Shenzhen BAK Power Battery will report on their recent research breakthroughs in graphene nanotubes in primary cells, Si anodes, and cathodes with increased energy density. Graphene nanotubes allow lithium-ion battery manufacturers to maximize the energy density of cathodes by using a higher amount of active material, and to use high-energy Si/Gr anodes with a good cycle-life in their commercial Li-ion batteries recipes for the EV market.
Fraunhofer IPA will present a large number of ongoing projects in the automotive industry, fueled by high-strength graphene nanotubes. How exactly nanomaterials can face the challenges in construction will be discussed by CRH – one of the world’s largest cement producers. Korean Next Generation Materials will present their recent progress in creating a so-called “wonder material” – a nanotube-aluminium composite. Shanghai BYK Additives and Japanese Nagase ChemteX Corporation will share their insights on the high durability of transparent conductive coatings with graphene nanotubes.
European LanXESS Deutschland will discuss their unique line of nanotube-formulated products that significantly boost the performance of elastomer materials, while Elkem Silicone will focus on a combination of conductivity, mechanical improvement and color flexibility in silicones. One of the largest Chinese producers of PDM drilling tools, Orient Energy & Technology Co., Ltd. , will display recent exciting results on the ability of graphene nanotubes to significantly improve Nitrile Butadiene Rubber and satisfy the tough requirements of oil drilling industry.
Alongside these speakers from large businesses, experts from world’s leading analytical agencies will report on the big picture of the competitive landscape of carbon nanomaterials and potential markets for graphene nanotube applications. Join NAUM 2018 and be with others who are developing technologies far ahead of most human imagination!
