OCSiAl joins MARGMA as an Associated Member

OCSiAl has announced it has become an Associated Member of the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA), whose more than 150 members include Malaysian rubber glove manufacturers, associated suppliers and supporting organisations. MARGMA organises a number of exhibitions, forums and conferences, which serve as a platform for members to meet, discuss industry developments and exchange views.  Becoming an Associated Member of MARGMA, will enable OCSiAl to strengthen its relationships with glove manufacturers, to better realise and respond to market needs and challenges, and promote its innovative industry products and solutions based on single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) at the Association’s events.

OCSiAl will be attending the 8th International Rubber Glove Conference & Exhibition (IRGCE) 2016, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur in September 2016. The event, organised by MARGMA and which takes place every two years, is now the world’s largest conference and exhibition of rubber gloves. At IRGCE 2016, OCSiAl experts will deliver a presentation to delegates entitled: “Prospective developments in latex products: applications of single wall carbon nanotubes”.

OCSiAl will come out with TUBALL™ LATEX, its specially developed solution for anti-static and ESD latex glove manufacturers. TUBALL™ LATEX is a single wall carbon nanotubes-based conductive additive for natural and synthetic latex. An ultra-low SWCNT dosage of 0.03%-0.08% provides latex with a resistivity level of less than 10⁶ Ω*см and enables manufacturers to maintain colour brightness. TUBALL™ LATEX uses components of the rubber compound as nanotubes carriers, and therefore does not require any changes to be made to production technology or formulations. Furthermore, TUBALL™ LATEX strengthens the latex matrix without negatively impacting on its plasto-elastic properties.

MARGMA membership opens up new opportunities for collaboration between OCSiAl and anti-static, ESD glove producers. TUBALL™ LATEX is a premier solution for providing latex gloves with the required electrostatic characteristics as set out in the new safety standard EN 16350:2014.
